Harold von Braunhut was a Jewish neo-Nazi sympathizer. He was also the inventor of some of the most iconic comic book marketed children’s toys. The X-Ray Specs and the Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys among them. Harold died in 2003 and his widow Signorelli von Braunhut was left with the business. Signorelli von Braunhut was a former film actress and Bondage queen and now heir to the sea-monkey fortune still making about $3.5 million per year.
Signorelli von Braunhut made a deal with Big Time Toys. They would handle the manufacturing of the tanks and marketing. Von Braunhut would still supply the Brine shrimp (sea-monkey) packets. In 2013 Big Time Toys claimed that they now owned the product stopped paying von Braunhut her share and started using brine shrimp for China.
She filed a suit in 2013 but lost the case which is now in appeal. Signorelli von Braunhut wants people to know that she does not support her late husband’s neo-Nazi views and if she regains control of the company she will not be giving funds to the KKK. The NY Times investigation of the case reviled that the quality had decreased immensely since Big Time Toys introduction of the Chinese shrimp.
