So there is a news story rolling around the internet that the planned Noah’s Ark theme park in Williamstown Kentucky was destroyed by a freak flash flood. I really wish that story were true but it isn’t the park is real just no flood.

The park will open in July and will feature a huge ark. They have nearly raised all of their money for construction and marketing as well $31 million of their $33 million needed. They plan to hire only Christian workers and have won a court battle which enables them to tourism grants from the state and tax exempt status  as a religious organization.

“You’ve probably seen pictures of Noah’s Ark in children’s books, complete with giraffe heads sticking out the top. But the real Noah’s Ark, the one described in the Bible, was huge. It was amazingly seaworthy—a ship that kept the occupants safe during a year-long worldwide flood. Prepare to be blown away as you explore the life-sized reconstruction of Noah’s Ark.” says the Ark Encounter web site.

The park is run by AiG or Answers in Genesis. If you are an adult and want to visit the Ark and the accompanying Creation Museum it will set you back $60. $34 if you want to brainwash your kids. So what do you say? are you up for visiting a life size replica of the “real” Noah’s Ark or would you rather believe it is a hoax.
