When I was a little boy we all wanted to become Truckers! Or preferably, the Burt Reynolds guy that drove the Bitchin Pontiac TransAm out ahead of the Truck to draw off Smokey.
All dreams die. Time for some sad news. Fossil Fuel consumption is on it’s way out. It’s going out kicking and screaming because a lot of the most rich and influential countries have based their economy on it. But out it will eventually go.
With it will go the “roaring” Kings of the Road. The Delivery Vans, Freight Trucks, Lorry’s, Road-Trains, 18-wheelers… or whatever your brand of local yokels call them. So if your kid has big dreams of of becoming a Cb jockey like we did, tell him to stay in school and brush up on his programing skills.
Enter the future of product delivery, the Zeppelin based Drone Swarm. It may sound like something out of Science Fiction. That’s because it is. But if certain companies have their way it may actually beat the “Flying Cars” into the marketplace.
What the hell is taking the Flying Cars so long? They promised us those when I was a kid!
The Zeppelin/Drone swarm concept is still in it’s infancy. Companies such as Viva Tierra Organic Inc, Amazon IS, Google and Worldwide Aeros are advancing the various technologies necessary for it’s realization.
So what is the Zeppelin based Drone Swarm? Basically a huge cargo Zeppelin picks up post/cargo/freight at a central sorting location (like a harbor) and then cruises over land following a predetermined delivery route. Drones of various sizes collect and delivery individual items from the hanger of the Zeppelin to individual destinations such as your house or a store. All computer guided and robot operated. So no new Air Trucker jobs either.
Order your new smart watch from Amazon in the morning and have a drone drop it off at your doorstep the same day. All to the quiet hum of electrically generated motors. Which you will actually be able to hear since the roar of petrol engines will be a thing of the past.
As an added bonus the sheer amount of Zeppelins required to feed your consumerism will block out the cancer causing rays of an ozone-layer free Sunny day!
